Analyzing the Diablo 3 Gameplay Video

Since the announcement of Diablo 3 everyone tries to suck in as much information as possible about this topic. Unfortunately Blizzard did only release small bits of information so far. The best source at the moment is the first gameplay video, showing a barbarian and a witchdoctor in action.


Ihmhi posted a detailed analysis of this video over at the DIII Forum. He discusses the newest weapons, spells and other aspects of the game, pointing out the source of his information in the video.

Diablo III Announced by Blizzard

After all the hoaxes and rumors during the last years the diablo community was sick of being fooled. Blizzard made one thing clear - there will be no sequel for Diablo II, the making of Diablo III is only wishful thinking. I accepted this as a fact, althouth it was not to my liking. The Diablo series was and will always be my favorite when it comes to computer games. Too bad, there won't be another Diablo Game. How easily did I let them fool me...

The truth was revealed today, on June 28. When I heard the news I just shook my head in anger. Even news.com.au, a wellknown news platform, wrote about the announcement of Diablo III. What a joke... But wait a second...

There is a Diablo III Website online! And even more important, it is located on the Blizzard Server! Should it be real this time? Apparently it is. Blizzard announced Diablo III during the Worldwide Invitational event in Paris. The first screenshots are promissing:

Insiders say that the game has already been developed for 4 years by now. Nevertheless it will take at least 2 more years until it will be finally released. A long wait lies ahead of us. If I had to guess, I would expect it to come out for Christmas 2010.
