Why Diablo 3 Design Elements are Awesome!

The competition is tough in the gaming world. Design is one of the main elements that can break or make a new launch. Diablo 3 shook the gaming world with its new art direction. In fact, thousands of gamers signed an online petition stating that they found the Diablo 3 design way too colorful and bordering on the contrast used in cartoon films.

But that's the point. Diablo 3 graphics have taken the bar for games to a height not scaled before. Fantastic colors and amazing sharp contrasts make the Diablo 3 experience fascinating. It's one thing to struggle in the dark in the dungeons. It's a whole new experience with Diablo 3's contrast to be able to 'see' in the dungeons and go after your enemies.

The lead designer for Diablo 3 is Jay Wilson. He has earlier been credited with work on Blood 2. The Chosen for Monolith and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes Productions. One of the six co-creators of Fallout, Leonard Boyarsky, is its lead world designer.

You can experience the full impact of fantastic Diablo 3 design particularly in the player versus player (PvP) mode. Unique arenas have been designed with varying areas of cover and terrain. The leveling-up graphics are fantastic giving dazzling display of points earned and strengths achieved.

The brand new design of Diablo 3 is supported by music composed by Russell Brower composed. Brower went for the Wagnerian style from the Lord of Destruction 2 when composing for the orchestra for Diablo 3. The main theme of the game is The Overture performed the Eminence Symphony Orchestra. A composition similar to this one was used in the cinematic teaser trailer of Diablo 3. Some changes have been made to The Tristram theme that was used in the earlier two editions of the game. Surely, it's the design and music of Diablo that makes the game so appealing despite the quests having become so much harder this time around. Finally, it's not about winning or losing. It's about the experience of the Diablo 3 world. There's only one word for that experience: Awesome!
